ip telnet
Command Mode Global Configuration
Description Enables or disables Telnet and changes the TCP port number for Telnet.
Valid port numbers are 23 or a port number from 9000 through 65355.
Once you change the TCP port number for Telnet, only users who know the
new port number can start Telnet sessions to the switch.
Sample Output The following example changes the TCP port for Telnet requests to port
9998:
(configure)# ip telnet port 9998
TCP Telnet listening port was changed successfully
to 9998
Systems P550R, P580, P880, and P882.
To Enable: ip telnet {port [<tcp-new-port>] [enable] |
[enable]}
To Disable: no ip telnet
